Credit Unions Raise Over $120,000 for Arkansas Children’s Hospital

In January, the credit unions of Arkansas were recognized by the staff of Arkansas Children’s Hospital for their fundraising efforts. Collectively, the credit unions of Arkansas raised over $120,000 for Children’s Miracle Network in 2011. An appreciation luncheon was held in their honor on the campus of Arkansas Children’s Hospital. During the luncheon, credit unions from throughout the state were presented with awards based upon their giving level.

Credit unions raise money by numerous events including silent auctions, golf and bowling tournaments, casual days, candy bar sales and various other activities. It is through these local efforts and similar efforts throughout the country that Credit Unions for Kids have emerged as one of the three national supporters of Children’s Miracle Network.
